Karachi Kings: A New Season, A New Beginning: PSL 8 Training Commences on This Date

The 2020 Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions, Karachi Kings, are set to begin training for the upcoming eighth edition of the tournament on February 9th. The Kings will be looking to defend their title and open their campaign against the Peshawar Zalmi on February 14th at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Under the leadership of Babar Azam last season, the Kings lost nine out of ten matches. This year, they have made some changes to their team, trading Babar for Shoaib Malik from the Zalmi, and bringing back all-rounder Imad Wasim as captain. Imad led the Kings to their maiden title triumph in 2020.

The Kings have also announced their squad for the tournament, which includes players such as Haider Ali, Mohammad Amir, Aamir Yamin, Matthew Wade, Imran Tahir, and James Vince. The team will also have a partial replacement of Faisal Akram.

The Kings' schedule for the tournament includes matches against teams such as Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans. With a strong squad and a determined attitude, the Kings are ready to take on the competition and defend their title.

This year's PSL is set to take place from February 14th to March 17th, and fans can look forward to some exciting matches as the Kings aim to retain their title and solidify their position as one of the top teams in the league.
