PCB denies NOC to Mohammad Hasnain for LPL 2022-23

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has denied issuing No-Objection Certificate (NOC) to pacer Mohammad Hasnain for the Lanka Premier League (LPL 2022-23). The only franchise cricket of Sri Lanka kick-started today in Hambantota; Hambantota, it will be played across three venues, including Pallekele and Colombo.

Hasnain, who recently represented Deccan Gladiators in the Abu Dhabi T10 league, was picked by Galle Gladiators in the third edition of the LPL. According to what has been reported by Geo Super, Hasnain has been asked by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to instead participate in the National T20 Cup.

Notably, the clash of both Pakistan's domestic tournament and LPL 2022 will collide. While Sri Lanka's league has gotten underway on December 6th, National T20 Cup will begin on December 10th. It should be noted that all Pakistani cricketers are all set to take part in the T20 league.

Shoaib Malik will don Jaffna’s jersey, whereas Haider Ali and Ahmed Daniyal will represent Dambulla. Asad Shafiq, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Hasnain, and Anwar Ali will play for the Pakistan-based franchise, Gladiators.

It is pertinent to mention here that title defenders Jaffna Kings locked horns with Galle Gladiators in the first match of the league.
