Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah has been diagnosed with Pneumonia. The bowler was taken to the hospital immediately after catching the viral fever. The reports stated that although he is feeling better, but was excluded from Pakistan's squad against England in the 5th T20I at Gadaffi Stadium.

Naseem will spend tonight at the hospital as PCB's medical panel is looking after him. Whether or not he will fly with the team for the tri-series including New Zealand and Bangladesh will depend upon the medical panel's advice.

Naseem has proved his worth with quality bowling and match-winning performances even with the bat when in need. His presence in Asia Cup 2022 gave cricketing regions a topic to talk about. However, if he does not recover, Pakistan might have to deal with a huge blow in the upcoming t20 World Cup 2022.

The PCB's official added,

"Naseem Shah's participation in the upcoming matches and departure to New Zealand with the squad will be decided after seeing his medical reports,"

Notably, Pakistan's tri-series-bound squad will travel to Australia for the World Cup 2022.
