Shaheen Shah Afridi resumes bowling

Pakistan Cricket Team dealt with a huge blow due to the absence of its key pacer, Shaheen Shah Afridi. The left-handed bowler was injured during the Galle Test in July, subsequently being ruled out of Pak vs NED series without getting a match, and Asia Cup 2022, respectively.

During the Asia Cup, he was sent to London for recovery and rehabilitation process. Shaheen's knee injury kept him out of action for a longer, but the bowler is gradually picking the rhythm back.

The pacer was advised to rest for four to six weeks, which as a result, expelled him from the ongoing Pak vs Eng series. Back then, his inclusion in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia was doubted either, but the bowler has been named in the squad the board announced earlier this week.

Pakistan's World Cup-Bound squad will also feature in a tri-series, including New Zealand and Bangladesh, before flying to Australia. Since Shaheen has shared his bowling video on Twitter, hinting at its comeback anytime sooner - the tri-series might be his target.

He wrote,

Your success belongs to Allah, not your mindset.
