Asia Cup 2022: Mohammad Amir asks why he is trending on Twitter

Soon after Shaheen Shah Afridi was evicted from Pakistan's Asia Cup 2022 squad, the names of various bowlers became trending on Twitter to replace the left-arm pacer. Shaheen is no more part of the upcoming Asia Cup following the knee injury he sustained during last month's Test against Sri Lanka.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is due to announce the replacement in a short course but no bowler better than Afridi can fulfil the duties. He could have been a legit threat to Asian batters in the UAE conditions in the upcoming Asia Cup.

It has been reported that Mir Hamza or out-of-form Hasan Ali is likely to replace Shaheen. Fans are sharing their demands on Twitter, out of which one is Amir, who announced retirement from international cricket following his unstable relations with management.

While reacting to the fans, Amir posted an interrogative tweet asking why he is trending on Twitter. He wrote,

"I am trending on twitter, but why?"

The fans responded saying that only he is the better replacement of Shaheen, who can tremble the Asian batters, including ones from India.
