Runs Kahan Karun? Ghar pe? Ahmed Shehzad went furious during live interaction

Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad has raised his voice for his place in the team on multiple occasions since he has been left nowhere around the national fold. The opening batter was last seen playing in a T20I match in 2019 versus Sri Lanka, whereas his last appearance in Test and ODI formats was in 2017.

Recently, he was spotted in a conversation with former captain Shahid Afridi, where the duo engaged in heated banter. Afridi advised Ahmed to score runs and spend time with his family whereas, Shehzad asked where should he score runs with no opportunity available for him.

Afridi revealed that things had not been just with Shehzad since he had Afridi's support during his captainship tenure; instead, people termed that support as favouritism. In recent developments, Ahmed has accused Waqar Younis of destroying his career.

Afridi asked,

“I want you to score runs, enjoy your life with your wife and kids. Allah has made life beautiful for you”,

Ahmed replied,

“I keep saying that. I want to score runs, but at least don’t deny me the platforms where I can score. I will ask you when sides in PSL want to pick me; who comes in and says no? You tell me, where do I score runs? At my home? (Runs kaha karu, ghar pe?)”

Since PCB has dug multiple top-notched opening batters across all formats, there is no place left for Shehzad, who was among the top-rated Pakistani batters once. He is the first Pakistani cricketer to score centuries in all three formats.
