Pak vs WI ODI series: West Indies on verge of whitewash

Pakistan have won the second ODI against West Indies of the three-match series and lead it by 2-0. With the final game left to take place on 12th June, the guests are left with the only chance to avoid the clean sweep.

The men in green earlier won the first ODI leaving the men in maroon with two chances to avoid the series loss, however, it was not fruitful for them. Concerning the 2nd match, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first and put up 275 runs on the board facing some quality bowling.

After the men in maroon walked on the ground to chase 276 runs on 300 balls, Pakistani bowlers gave them critical time as they got all out on a low score of 155 runs. Surprisingly, the highest score from the maroon's end came from Sharmarh Brooks who scored 42 on 56 balls.

Notably, Mohammad Nawaz was the best bowler from Pakistan's edge picking a four-wicket haul and conceding only 19 runs. Wasim Jnr and Shadab Khan clutched three and two wickets respectively.

It must be noted Pak vs WI ODIs are part of the last year's West Indies tour of Pakistan. They were cancelled following the COVID hit in the guests' camp.
