David Warner recalls historic tour of Pakistan

Australian cricketer David Warner has revived the memories from the historic Australia tour of Pakistan saying he never had such hospitality in any country in his playing career. Moreover, he mentioned the barbecue meat he had was the best of all. 

Notably, Australia Cricket Team visited Pakistan for the first time in 24 years. The two teams encountered a three-match Test series, including as many ODIs, and the one-off T20I.

On the Fox Cricket Programme, Warner stated,

“The hospitality was second to none and I’ve never had so much barbecued meat in my life. It was superb,”

He further commented he was delighted to be part of the series, that played a crucial role in reviving international cricket in Pakistan. Warner, one of the greatest Australian batters, although was scared after listening to fake folks against Pakistan, but says he was glad in the end.

“It was a series that needed to be and I was glad I was a part of it. We were a little worried and scared but we had a lot of confidence in the communications between Cricket Australia, the High Commission over there, and the Pakistan Government. It was just a great series to be a part of,”
