ACB appoints Umar Gul as bowling coach

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has hired ex-Pakistani fast bowler Umar Gul as their national team's bowling coach. The legendary bowler has coached Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and also at the domestic level. He is set to pass on his coaching and bowling experience to Afghanistani cricketers.

Not only this but the right-arm fast-bowler has also worked with Kashmir Premier League (KPL), coaching Muzaffarabad Tigers, the runner-ups of the first season of the tournament and with the Lanka Premier League (LPL).

Although Umar will be appointed as Afghanistan's bowling coach for three weeks, but the tenure can be increased following his impact on the bowlers and performances. He will join the team camp in Abu Dhabi on the 4th of April.

Gul, who has 400+ international wickets, expressed gratitude on his Twitter. Replying to International Cricketers Association (ICA), he wrote.
