Dwayne Bravo, the West Indies cricketer who is representing Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022), has equalled Lasith Malinga's IPL record, for taking most wickets in the extravaganza.
Bravo is just one wicket away from surpassing Malinga's record, however, he has already come equal to the Sri Lankan bowler's feat. Retired Malinga, who no more plays IPL either, has 170 wickets to his name. It only took 122 matches for him to do so, however, Bravo reached the 170-wicket record in 152 matches.
One more wicket and the West Indian cricketer will be the highest wicket-taker in IPL. He is all geared up to beat the record in CSK's next match scheduled on Thursday (today) versus Lucknow Super Giants at Brabourne Stadium.
It is certain that Bravo will surpass Malinga's record, however, not sure if today, or in the forthcoming match versus Punjab Kings (PBKS) on 3rd April.
#DwayneBravo stands tied with the inimitable Lasith Malinga for the maximum wickets taken in IPL history.

It’s certain that he will surpass the record this season. The question is will that be tonight? @DJBravo47 @CSKFansOfficial @CSKFansArmy @ChennaiIPL #WhistlePodu pic.twitter.com/JN9iK9mccm
