Another Pakistani player to miss Pak vs Aus Rawalpindi Test

Pak vs Aus: Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf will not feature in the Rawalpindi Test after he has been tested COVID positive. The player will undergo the mandatory isolation period and will rejoin the squad on quarantine completion after testing negative.

While announcing Rauf's replacement, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named Naseem Shah, who has been placed in the travelling reserves for Pak vs Aus Test series. It must be noted that the Rawalpindi test was supposed to be Rauf's first-ever red-ball encounter since he was all set to make his Test debut.

Earlier, the all-rounder Faheem Ashraf and the fast-bowler Hasan Ali were expelled from the Test squad for the 1st Test Match. The duo will rejoin the squad after completing their isolation period and once they get fully healed from their respective injuries.

The PCB earlier named Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Wasim Jnr in place of Faheem and Hasan.

The Pak vs Aus Test series kick-starts from 4th march. The two teams will play a three-match test series, as many ODIs, and the only T20I across three major venues including Gadaffi Stadium, National Stadium, and the Rawalpindi stadium.
