Qalandars reach PSL 2022 final to encounter awaited Sultans

Lahore Qalandars are all set to tackle in-form Multan Sultans in the HBL PSL 2022 final on 27th February. Shaheen Shah Afridi and men thrashed away Shadab Khan's Islamabad United in the Eliminator 2, and sent the red hot squad back home, making their own place in the grand finale for the second time in the league's history.

They earlier reached the final in PSL 2020, however, failed again Imad Wasim's Karachi Kings ending up as the runner-ups. This time, they will be making sure to overpower Mohammad Rizwan's Sultans, who are anticipating to revenge Qalandars for their only defeat on the league stage. The encounter will not be a piece of cake for the two teams since both have been the limelight of the 7th edition.

As far as Rizwan's Sultans are concerned, it will be the second consecutive final for them as they are on the verge of defending the title. All are seeking to witness the great grand finale on Sunday. Probably, it will be a houseful at Gadaffi to cheer for the home team.

It must be noted that Sultans have been the most successful of all six sides winning nine out of ten matches. Battling each team twice, they lost the only game versus Qalandars coming with a winning streak of six. It counted Sultan's seven back-to-back wins in PSL overall including the victory versus Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 2021 final.
