Shaheen Shah Afridi has chosen Mohammad Rizwan as his favorite captain over Babar Azam. During a press conference where he was introduced as the new captain of Lahore Qalandars of Pakistan Super League (PSL), the 21-year-old said that Rizwan was a better captain than current Pakistan skipper Babar.
"The personality I like the most is Mohammad Rizwan. I have played domestic cricket with him at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and I liked his way a lot. Babar has also led the Pakistan team well but Rizwan is best," Shaheen answered after he was asked about whom he admired the most as captain.
Mohammad Rizwan is Azam's deputy in Test cricket, whereas Babar Azam leads Pakistan in all three formats. Meanwhile, Shaheen will be captaining the team for the first time. He has taken over from Sohail Akhtar as captain of the Lahore Qalandars, who haven't won the PSL yet out of all the franchises in Pakistan.
