Pak vs Ban: Pakistan name 12-player squad for 1st T20I

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named a 12-player squad to undergo the 1st T20I match against Bangladesh on 19th November 2021, Friday.

During the Pakistan tour of Bangladesh 2021, the two teams are scheduled to play a three-match T20I series, including two red-ball encounters.

The first T20I is to be played at Sher e Bangla stadium, whereas, the second and third T20Is will be played on 20th, 22nd November at the same venue. The first Test match will kick-start from 26th November at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, and the next Test will be in action from 4th December at the Sher e Bangla ground. 

Discussing the 12-player squad that the board has named for the first T20I match, Imad Wasim and Asif Ali are nowhere to be seen. They were a crucial part of the recently coiled up ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and have been rested for the following series. 

Moreover, Mohammad Hafeez earlier withdrew himself citing an opportunity to a needy youngster in place of him. Mohammad Rizwan, however, will continue to render the services as Sarfaraz Ahmed has once again been sidelined. 

Shadab Khan will be Pakistan's only spinner whereas, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali will form the pace trio.

Pakistan 12-member squad: Babar Azam (Captain), Shadab Khan (Vice-Captain), Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Mohammad Wasim Jr., Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shoaib Malik.
